A long drive amidst lush green tea estates that are washed to shine bright green by rains, drive to Spice Tree is a pretty marvel that any nature lover’s dreams are made of. Picturesque plethora of acres of bonsai tea plans when kissed by hovering clouds, leave you in sheer awe of the expanse and beauty of nature. Located amidst of cardamom hills, Spice Tree Munnar is a five hours drive from the Cochin Airport.
The drive to the hotel was quaint and romantic to say the least. Because of rains, there were waterfalls at almost every turn of the way. Munnar is particularly gorgeous in rains. It is surrounded by scenic tea plantations; uphill, downhill, closer to the road, everywhere you look, and you’d find yourself surrounded by these well manicured spreads of bonsai tea bushes. It’s a ecstatic feeling if you are (or not) a tea lover.
Visit to Kerala was the last leg of my trip after Morocco and Spain. we landed in Delhi a night before and flew to Kerala the early morning next day. I was not looking for anything outrageously adventurous (or anything adventurous at all). and Kerala served me right. I got a much needed relaxed getaway with nothing fancy, just an infinity pool, beer, hot shower, rejuvenating spa and a cozy bed to sleep in for hours and hours. Staff is hospitable with genuine smiles. Food was appetizing, rich and delicious. On my visit, weather was cold with rains and fog. And marathon of Game of Thrones kept me company.
Located in the lap of serene and fragrant footsteps of the cardamom hills, Spice Tree is a beautiful getaway for the weekend, the entire week or for the entire month depending upon the level of rejuvenation you require.
I feel fortunate that everything and everyone came together to make my experience impeccable and warm. I was so well cared for that whenever I can, I will go running back to it.
Below is a picture story of the property. I will share another post of all that I did and experienced there sometime later.
Have you been to Spice Tree or have experienced such divinity at any Hotel/ Resort? Share your experience with me.
