Road Trip: I loved Highway (read about it here) and this is my (vain effort) ode to the brilliance of its story and presentation. To all the movie viewers, give dissatisfied movie critics a break and go check it out for yourself.
The high that you get from the road trip is a very different travel experience when compared with travel via an airplane. I got a chance to take a road trip to Gwalior earlier this month with the entire family. Needless to say, that I loved every bit of it. When you travel via road, you got to have your senses open to absorb the savory, foul and fresh smells of the roads, passing towns, traffic and sounds.
To get the flavors, aroma and smells during a journey, we ought to roll down the windows of our AC cars sometimes. I’ve learnt that a good journey is equally, if not more important than the destination. Gwalior is a little over 6 hours’ drive from Delhi, including the 3, half an hour pit stops that we took to absorb the beauty of the deformed sand hills, mustard fields, sip on roadside dhaba tea and to tend to our nature’s calling.
Below is a picture essay and portraits from my Road Trip to Gwalior.
