Romance the road, fall in love with the bare naked roadside fields, get intoxicated by the essence of dhabas set against the backdrop of rustic warm colors; Highway takes you on a road trip worth exploring with its every single shot. Its shades of blue, brown, grey and others paint a realistic and yet a million dollar picture of Indian Highways dusty roads that start at Delhi – NCR border, dance their way through rugged roads of Haryana, Rajasthan and lush mustard fields and tube wells of Punjab and end at the dwindling, snow peeking roads of Himachal and Leh.
I’ve had my share of Indian Highway Travel, but it’s only lately, I started enjoying it’s varied topography and Highway put across a fresh new perspective about our local inhouse terrain.
This story of a young rich girl desperately trying to steal her moments of wind in her hair, took me along with Veera on a journey of some brilliantly scouted places set in varied, erratic terrain of rugged rustic with a heap of desi charm. And the music from the maestro A.R. Rehman, made this trip worth every kilometer driven.
Much has already been written about Highway, hence without delving in nitty-gritties of the movie that I absolutely adored, I present a picture collage of it’s picturesque terrain and rugged roads.
